It didn’t take long for the tree frog to experience a disastrous fate. And it’s not for nothing that this little green frog was found in a salad bought a few days earlier at the supermarket.
This Friday, December 3rd, a resident of Créteil in Val-de-Marne (Île-de-France) made a surprising discovery in her box of batavia, bought a week earlier from Lidl. A small neon green amphibian jumped out of the salad as if nothing had happened.
But that’s not all, because what’s even more amazing is that it’s a tree frog. Hyla meridionalrare species, protected law on nature protection of July 10, 1976. She lives mainly on the plains in the south of France, hence the surprise to see her appear in the middle of the Parisian agglomeration.
Therefore, it is only natural that the tree frog was dubbed “batavia”. She is about to be released in the Gironde, into her natural environment. At the moment, the little survivor is waiting for warmth in the vivarium located in the Créteil building.
Now the frog is waiting for a new life.
